Developed to provide actual carrier rate based comparison of less-than-truckload (LTL), Gray’s LTL Rater software is unique in the marketplace. LTL Rater is offered as a stand-alone or server based application that compares shipping costs of frequently used carriers. The result is a cost based ranking of each selected carriers rates starting with lowest rate. In addition LTL Rater provides reports, Bills of Lading, and pallet labels.

Data Collection
The personnel at Gray Technologies bring more than 20 years of combined data collection experience. We are experts in the deployment of wireless (WLAN) radio frequency (RF) data collection equipment, access points, network administration software, site surveys, and terminal emulation software and application development. In addition, Gray has proven expertise in the development of batch data collection software, installation of related hand-held hardware, fixed, wired laser and vision scanners as well as label printing and label software solutions.

Other software solution offered includes stand-alone inventory, asset, stock/toll room and package tracking, Windows based warehouse management and modules that interface directly with ERP solutions from Oracle, SAP, Baan, Lilly and others.

RFID’s electronic product code (EPC) is a proven technology that has been embraced by retail sales leaders like Wal Mart, Target Stores, Department of Defense (DOD) as well as libraries.

Alien Technology is one of the RFID industry’s most innovative leaders in the manufacturing of tags and labels. Alien’s patented “Fluidic Assembly” process for the current UHF 915MHz tags and creative antenna design allows for both greatly increased read range and lower manufacturing cost. Symbol Technologies, the world’s leading innovator and manufacturer of barcode data collection equipment, recently purchased Matrics, Inc. another leader in the RFID industry. We at Gray are registered value added reseller/systems integrator for Symbol products and will add Matrics RFID certification when it becomes available.

Voice Over I.P.
Voice Over IP telephony has become a significant cost saving communication tool for organizations needing easy access to personnel throughout their facilities while maximizing existing local and wide-area wireless infrastructure. Pen Tablet PC’s
To augment their hardware resources and supply “non-traditional” portable data equipment, Gray Technologies also sells and supports touch screen pen tablet computers using Microsoft’s Tablet PC operating system. Fujitsu PC Corporation, Itronix and Xplore manufacture these innovative computers that can be forklift or wall mounted as well as used as a desktop replacement.

Specialty Computers
In addition to pen tablets we also provide “rugged” and “extreme-rugged” rated computers for special applications. Special applications include: wash-down for food manufacturing, warehouse/forklift mount, harsh outdoor environments, freezer and other extreme in-door uses.
